2018 review

As we enter 2019 it is only fitting to reflect on the previous year and consider what the year to come will bring. 2018 has been an exceptional year for OenoFuture as well as for the wider fine wine industry, with the market continuing to outperform global equities according to Liv-ex’s annual report.

One of the highlights for the OenoFuture team in 2018 was being selected as the best wine investment company in Europe. OenoFuture was announced as the “Fine Wine Investment Firm of the Year” at The European Global Business & Finance Awards which are held annually. Read by top decision makers across the globe, The European is a prestigious quarterly publication which aims to help readers navigate the fast-paced business landscape of today. Their awards recognise excellence and leadership in a range of fields, and each award is only given after an extensive selection process which considers performance, innovation, and product offerings as well as the company’s values and working environment.

OenoFuture was also admitted into the Wine & Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) towards the end of 2018. This trade organisation represents more than 300 companies that are part of the UK wine industry. This diverse membership includes everything from retail, wholesale, and fine wine specialists to bottling and logistics firms. Membership of the WSTA will help OenoFuture to work even harder and smarter for our fine wine investment clients in the future thanks to the exceptional networking opportunities and access to the WSTA’s outstanding market research and analysis.

As well as the business successes and accolades, 2018 has offered OenoFuture the chance to give back to the local community through our support of several charity events. Earlier in the year we were able to donate a very special bottle of Dom Perignon to Fortune Hill’s charity auction to raise money for Centrepoint and ABC (Action Bladder Cancer UK). We were also thrilled to be able to make a contribution to the Love GOSH event which raises money for Great Ormond Street Hospital by providing wine for the evening.

As we move deeper into 2019 we are confident that another excellent year lies ahead for the fine wine industry and we are excited to see what we can achieve for our clients over the next 12 months. For all of us here at OenoFuture we would like to wish our clients a wonderful 2019 filled with fine wine and perfect moments with loved ones.
