In a landscape scattered with enormous round granite boulders...

a geological phenomenon to be found in only two or three other places around the world, in an area protected as of exceptional natural beauty, Alexandre Avatangelos and Gérard Margeon envisioned the re-creation of the vineyard that existed 6.000 years ago. It became a lifetime aim to sustainably preserve the environment and create the best Greek wine in the world.

T-Oinos Clos Stegasta Assyrtiko

At 450m on the island of Tinos, this organic / biodynamically farmed assyrtiko grows in broken granitic soils, surrounded by giant granite erratics. This was native fermented and rested on lees in a mix of stainless, amphora, and barrel over 4 months. Concentrated quince, white grapefruit, lemon thistle, pear is lashed with windswept marine acidity and salinity, and buzzes with a deep granitic grip which lingers on the lengthy finish.

Quite profound for 13.5%, drinking beautifully now and with time ahead. (Treve Ring).” – 93/100Gismondi on Wine

The fine wine from a good vine planted in the right place, is the missing link between agriculture and haute couture. At its touch, we dive into beauty.
