Domaine Chavy-Chouet

Domaine Chavy-Chouet, is a seventh-generation estate, epitomizes the finest traditions of Burgundy winemaking. Led by Romaric Chavy, this family-run domaine seamlessly combines centuries-old heritage with modern techniques to craft wines that embody the essence of Burgundy’s unique terroirs.

Chavy-Chouet: two families, two coastal villages with a common thread, a love of the land for 7 generations. After 6 years at the wine school and with various experiences in viticulture and winemaking in the four corners of the globe, Romaric offers a new face to the estate. Solely at the helm since 2006, he watches over the 15 hectares of vines with rigor. Proud of his roots, he oscillates between rigor, tradition and innovation.

Production

Seventh-Generation Expertise: With over 200 years of winemaking history, Chavy-Chouet embodies heritage, experience, and authenticity.Burgundy’s Investment Potential: Burgundy continues to lead as the most investable wine region, with demand far outstripping supply, especially for Premier Cru and monopole wines.

The 1300m² of buildings – including 800m² of cellars – which host the harvest, are a mix of old and ultra-modern. These dedicated facilities allow it to accompany nature in a demanding and pleasant environment and to meet all of Romaric’s quality requirements. Gravity barreling, minimalist interventions, impeccable cleanliness also symbolize this perpetual search for excellence for the production of pure, balanced and energetic wines.

Our Takeaway

Unmatched Value: These wines offer exceptional quality at a fraction of the cost of other Premier Cru and Grand Cru Burgundies.

Rarity and Exclusivity: Featuring monopole vineyards and limited production Premier Crus, these wines are highly collectible.

Demand for White Burgundy: The dwindling availability of high-quality white Burgundies elevates the desirability of Chavy-Chouet’s Meursault and Saint-Aubin offerings.

These wines offer immediate appeal on wine lists and long-term investment potential for collectors.
