Oeno Trade Portfolio Tasting 2023
20/02/2023After almost three long years, the wait for our Trade Portfolio Tasting was over on the 31st January! We were thrilled to welcome so many of our exclusive producers and so many amazing wine professionals from the Trade and Press honoured us with their presence to celebrate the new era of Oeno Trade in the heart of Covent Garden.
Our Team was delighted to introduce you to more than 30 of our agencies and winemakers including Nicola Gatta, Borgogno, Federico Graziani, Joaquin, T-OINOS, Silver Heights, Philip Togni, Cervantes Family Vineyards and many more as well as some maturation parcels from Penfolds, Allegrini and Castellare di Castellina.
Masterclasses:
1. From Etna to Barolo: Hosted by Andrea Farinetti of Barolo producer, Borgogno, and Federico Graziani from Etna and moderated by Mattia Tabacco, our Head of Buying & Rare Wines. The winemakers will show 12 wines to our guests, including a side-by-side vertical of single-vineyard Liste and Profumo di Vulcano respectively while discussing the history of the two grapes, Nebbiolo and Nerello Mascalese and how they came to co-exist for a period of time.
2. Oeno’s Brain and Heart: Join Oeno’s Masters of Wine, Justin Knock MW, Gabriele Gorelli MW and Almudena Alberca MW, as they embark on an explorative journey on the factors we are looking for when working with a new producer, while tasting 8 wines from Oeno Trade’s agencies and discussing organic and biodynamic farming, ethical practices and the future of wine.
