Oeno Unveils World’s Largest Collection of Domaine Coche-Dury
08/12/2020Described by Robert Parker as “one of the greatest winemakers on planet earth”, Jean-François Coche-Dury is revered for his meticulous winemaking and characterful white wines which rank among Burgundy’s finest.
For decades he attentively managed his family’s nine hectares of vineyards in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie and Volna, consistently producing beautiful wines even in the face of challenges like a helicopter crash in 1998 which destroyed ten rows of their Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru vines. In 2010 Jean-François retired from the day-to-day running of the domaine, handing over the reins to his son, Raphael, who learnt the trade working alongside is father since 2003.
Oeno recently acquired a pristine 72-bottle collection of Domaine Coche-Dury which is thought to be the largest collection of its kind in existence. These exceptional wines include the 2013 and 2010 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru and several vintages of Meursault-Perrieres Premier Cru ranging from 2012 to 2016.
