Showcasing the best in Burgundy, Domaine Armand Rousseau

08/02/2021

With roots all the way back to 1921 it’s no surprise that Domaine Armand Rousseau is now in its third family generation producing some of the world’s best Burgundies.

Domaine Armand Rousseau is based in Gevrey-Chambertin in the famous Burgundy region and owns vineyards in the two best locations in the village, Chambertin Grand Cru and Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru. These prestigious wines hold such a rich and precious history that they are held in high regards with the likes of Domaine de la Romanee Conti and Leroy. Due to their excellence, the estate has been classified in the top 3 of Liv-ex top 100 wineries in the last few years.

We have seen over the years the brilliant reds produced from Domaine Armand Rousseau take on their weight as they age and really come into their own. In turn the more time goes on the harder the bottles are to source, creating a high demand. The winery only ever produces small batches which also adds to the rarity of these products.

Since Asia has taken a larger interest in Burgundy we have seen prices rocketing. With demand coming in globally this shows no signs slowing down any time soon especially if we continue to see the outstanding quality produced by this vineyard.

Oeno have always held a great relationship with this estate and are pleased to be able to bring the Chambertin Grand Cru 2013, 2014, 2015 and the Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2014 to the market.
