Borgogno is one of the oldest producers in the Langa and Piedmont and is a fundamental reference point for Italian wine. Founded in 1761, the Borgogno estate experienced a major international development in the 1920s, under the impetus of Cesare Borgogno. The Farinetti family bought the estate in 2008. Andrea Farinetti has been in charge of the estate since 2010.
The vineyard on the Borgogno estate is sustainably managed without the use of chemical inputs and covers 30.8 hectares of vines planted on a soil composed of clay and limestone marl that contributes to the unique signature of the estate’s wines.
