“The 2018 Viñas Viejas de Soria comes from 25 plots of old vines from the village of Atauta and is a blend of 92% Tinto Fino and 8% Albillo. It fermented with 30% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in open-top oak vats and matured in 228-liter Burgundian barrels for 18 months including malolactic. It’s 14.5% alcohol but feels fresh and balanced, a little in the style of the 2016, floral and expressive. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with very fine tannins and a long finish.” Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate. (2021)
